Hi, have strange issue. I setup my SIP trunk, pretty straight forward after I did figure out how to call out, but I did notice that my caller ID does display incorrectly. I sent email to support and they said that its because IP address is used of "Registrar/Server/Gateway Hostname or IP" instead of my DID number

This is what support responded back to me. Where can I change that header info?

We were able to pull up recent call attempt from your registered IP and as per checking, seems like the issue was due to the FROM header was set as the IP 95.211.xxx.xxx and not the number 1917200xxxx.

Please see sample INVITE below.

Remote-Party-ID: "631595xxxx"<sip:[email protected]:5060>

On this case, we suggest to please change the FROM header field (which is inside the <>) onto a valid number that is in E.164 format.

Also, the IP on the TO header and INVITE header should be the same as our termination IP 108.59.2.134 while the IP on the FROM header should be the same as you IP.

I think I got the Caller ID figured out. I had to go to my SIP Trunk configuration
then change Outbound Parameters - > "From : Display Name" to "OutboundLineID: Outbound Line Caller ID taken from Outbound called ID setting in Management console", that seems to make my Caller ID appear correctly when I am placing the calls. Guess that's what happens when you try to use non supported providers :) Its amazing how flexible this software is and how many things can be customized to make it working just the way I want it :) Many thanks for great job 3cx :) Love your product.

Hello @Chris W.

Glad to hear you figured it out and thank you for your kind feedback.
When using a supported provider these settings are pre-configured in the provided template so it makes your job a lot easier.
Also be more careful when posting information on the forum as it is public and you do not want your public IP and numbers be visible. Glad you are enjoying the software :)

Thank you and appreciate your feedback on the IP addresses, it makes sense. I was just testing and did not even think of it. Yes, its easier when provider is supported, with template configuration makes it as day and night. Hope at some point you guys will support voxbeam :) what brought my attention to them was the fees that they charge per month with unlimited in and out calls.Other providers are good and reliable, I just di dnot want to be stuck with bills which who knows how much they could be. In any event many thanks, appreciate all the help and feedback. You guys rock
