Hello,

I have the latest version of 3CX and a linksys SPA 3000.

Questions -

1) When I get INCOMING calls... I see the caller ID on the SPA logs.. but 3CX and the SIP XLITE phones only see the Extension Caller ID of the system. Ex: [email protected] INSTEAD of 602-234-3434

2) what is this setting?

/gateway_configuration.php

- Is external gateway = unchecked currently

- several advanced options. what are these for? caller ID?

3) what is this setting?

/user_extension_info.php?PageRoot_selected[]=3

External Phone = unchecked currently

Again... the MAIN issue is that we need the SIP phones to see WHO is actually calling.. instead of the INTERNAL EXT Number of the line or the gateway.

Thank you!

Please, check that settings for Caller-ID in advanced options for that PSTN gateway is actually matching the place where Caller-ID is found. I.e., if you see it in 'From' field, than select corresponding radio-button in options.

Hello,

I did not follow your response. SEE below the 3CX information setup on my server. The Linksys Gateway is already setup for "PSTN CID For VoIP CID: YES"

PLEASE HELP.

See below for what is checked and not checked.......

Is external gateway = THIS IS NOT CHECKED

Additional options -

Caller-ID is in 'user' part of (one of following):

'From' field = THIS IS CHECKED

'To' field
'Request-Line-URI' field
'Contact' field
'RemotePartyID;party=calling' field

Line-ID (select one of) which matches the

Internal number = THIS IS CHECKED

External number
Authentication

Of the configured line is in 'user' part (one of the following):

'From' field
'To' field
'Request-Line-URI' field = THIS IS CHECKED
'Contact' field
'RemotePartyID;party=called' field
'RemotePartyID;party=calling' field

Called-Number (for inbound calls) is in:

'From' field

'To.user' field = THIS IS CHECKED

'Request-Line-URI.user' field
'Contact' field
'RemotePartyID;party=called' field

Use registration's 'Contact' field host/port instead host/port specified in configuration = THIS IS CHECKED

Please, provide 3CXSupport with logs after placing succesful call. We'll try to investigate what settings shall you have to get CID displayed.

caller ID error logs

Hello,

My Xlite is not showing the PSTN caller ID. I have the PSTN as an ext 201 on my 3CX. The ext 201 is setup to auto re-direct the call to ext 100 which is my digital receptionist.

The issue is that when the caller dials the Ext on the Digital Receptoinist.. it does not show the caller ID of the PSTN line on xlite. It shows ext 201 on xlite. Which is correct... but I want to know who is calling on the ext 201.

Here is the log you asked for. thanks.

Hi,

Sorry, but in the case of call forwarding we can not display id of original caller.

Any suggestions for the proper match between a Grandstream GXW4104 and the 3CX system for getting the caller id to be passed on incoming calls?
