Using the 3cx phone system and Yealink T38's, calls to GROUPS/QUEUES are rewritten with a PREFIX - the name of the group.
So, if 555-1212 which is Yealink - calls us the display says

"IT - Yealink
555-1212"

The problem is that if the phone number matches an entry in the local phone book in the phone then it gets rewritten

"Yealink Inc
555-1212" and does not show the PREFIX.

Any way to avoid this ?

We use the 3cx phonebook that is made for Yealink, run it thru a script and add all internal mobile phone numebrs to it from AD. Then save that phonebook and that is what the phones use for the lookup.

My understanding, is that any match to an entry in the sets phonebook will take precedent. There may be an option to disable the set from doing any phonebook matches, but the whole idea of a sets phonebook is that the user can customize what name shows with each number.

If there were just a few numbers that were of concern, I'd say create speed call rules for them, then save the dialled number as a speed call entry in the set, then there would never be a match with the caller ID
