Hi all,

We have created Extension Groups representing different branches of the company from the management console, and then added the users (or extensions) as members to the Groups representing the branch they belong to for easier extension management. I wanted to find out if there is a way to pull CALL REPORTS for an Extension Group (not Ring Group) on the Management Console. This report should only report on extensions belonging to that Extension Group.

Thank you in advance.

You can generate reports for single extensions but also any range of extensions.

That is correct. I've considered that option but it just wouldn't work well long term. The reason I'm looking into the calls report by Extension Group option is for flexibility & easier management in the event of a user changing branches in the future. That is to say, if a user changes from Branch A to Branch B, I would simply need to update the Extension Groups i.e. remove their extension from Branch A extension group and add their extension as a member of Branch B, and I won't need to edit the custom calls reports I've set up.

Whereas generating a report for a range of extensions would mean, I would have to plan ahead the extension set up, for e.g. Branch A: range 100 - 200, Branch B: 200 - 300 and so on. This then becomes an issue if a user changes Branches in our setup, because the management console doesn't allow for editing a user's extension number, it is greyed out please see below. 1646295000723.png
this then means that one would have to delete that user and recreate with a different extension number. Furthermore, I'll have to remember to edit the calls reports for Branch A and B, to exclude that user in the former and to add the user in the latter.

I know it's a bit of a long stretch, and I'm just trying to explore more options.

Thanks @david_nakalemo, I'll close this thread now as resolved as you've upvoted the idea and feel free to open another if you require anything else!
