Here in the last couple of weeks, I have had several calls ring to our main menu instead of to the night ring after business hours. One pattern that I see is that in all these cases, 3CX does not seem to know which DID the caller dialed. All the calls show Unavailable:111-111-1111. Almost as if it defaults to call to the main menu when it cannot detect the DID and use an inbound rule.

I cannot find anywhere in 3CX where this would be set. Can anyone shed some light on what is going on? The problem is that the caller is ringing our queues after hours.

I think I may have found it. Do I need to change my Gateway Trunk settings? I see that both during and after hours are set to go to the main menu. I assume this is where it is defaulting to since it cannot follow a DID rule.

I imagine you use inbound rules. Whenever those rules don't match there is a catch-all that defaults to whatever your Trunk page uses

SIP Trunks > Select your trunk > General Tab > Route calls to

Perfect. Do I just change those settings or do I have to update the gateway config as well?

Just change the main trunk number destination from the management console. No gateway config should be required.
