Strange issue. All other calls to the UK work fine, but calls to the +44750... prefix end after about ten secs. I enclosed an edited version of the PCAP screenshot.

10. is my end of the SIP trunk and 172. is the ISP end. After 9 secs there is an ACK sent by the PBX, but ten secs later the PBX just says BYE.

Anyone seen this before?

Nope, but I'd definitely start with your provider.

Yup, I did, first thing. They said the PBX was to blame, not them.

Have you tested with more than one +44750 number? The problem may be the end destination, either that one number, or the mobile (or other) provider that your provider is routing the calls to. To blame the PBX, when other calls are connecting correctly, seems to be a way for them to avoid doing some investigation.

An accurate summation, but I need something to hurl back at them if I want them to dig deeper.

I would hope that comparison traces of several working calls, and the failed one should be enough.. You may have to show that it is not just calls to one specific number that fails.

If it were one number...has it been ported away from the original provider to which that prefix was assigned?
Could the caller ID you are sending, have anything to do with this? Some "destinations" are very picky about number formats..anything that may come across as an invalid (spoofed?) number.

Hello @DrainBamaged

Did the provider tell you why the PBX is to blame? I would assume that they gave some sort of reason to justify their answer. If not then you need to be a bit more specific with your questions.
From the screenshot provided we can see that the call was answered since you receive a 200 OK to your Invite. If there was an issue with the Invite then you would receive an error before the 200 OK. However it looks like the PBX is dropping the call so you may need to look at the other leg of the capture to determine the cause. What device are you using to place a hold? There should be a leg of the capture between the device and the PBX. Check that side also and see if there is a error there.

Hi, the posted screenshot was an intercept taken by the phone provider on the PBX to SIP trunk connection.

It may have been the E164 settings interfering with the number processing. I cleared all boxes on the E164 settings page save "Process E164 Numbers" and left the international dial code.

The phone company reports the calls are now connecting.
