Just upgraded to v20u3. Having lots of trouble with Call Flows that were working great in v18.

We route unanswered calls from Ring Groups and Queues to a catch-all Call Flow which based on where the call came from, we’d do conditional branching to various Record and Email blocks. To reiterate – this worked great in v18u9a.

As seen in several other Forum posts, the routing logic changed – we were branching based on matching the session.transferingExtension and/or session.did. Based on Forum posts, we tried a number of combinations to map MyCall.Caller["extnumber"] or MyCall.ReferredByDN?.Number to session.transferingExtension but weren’t getting unique values to be able to determine which Record and Email block to send to.

In desperation, I decided to use the CFD to write a simple flow that only has a Record and Email block. I successfully built the project. Next, I added a new custom CPS running with dial code 9901 with System Wide Department, and copied the c# from the CFD output. Finally, the CS code compiled successfully and we added the audio files. We’re using the default open hours.

My issue right now is when I dial 9901 to test the simple CPS that will Record and Email but I don’t hear the prompt or beep. I can see in the 3CXCallFlow.log that the CPS ran and appears to have played the prompts, but I didn’t hear any audio. The .wav files are from the original Call Flow and I can hear them when played from within the CFD so I assume they’re valid .wav files for a CPS.

So – why would the log show the prompts were played but nothing was heard? I'm not seeing any errors in any logs for this testing.

Log file snippet attached.

Thanks

Are the .wav files the correct format? That would be the only thing I could think of

I thought about the same, but @EscondidoAdmin is also mentioning that the beep is not heard, and that's a WAV file provided by 3CX, so maybe it's something else.... I would run a wireshark capture and confirm if there is RTP traffic flowing.

Well, it keeps getting weirder... I created a new Call Flow, with just a single Prompt Playback block using the type TextToSpeechAudioPrompt with "Hello?". Built it for x9902. Added as a CPS using Dial Code 9902. Plays perfectly. I checked logs and can see the Temp<x>.wav file created and played.

Then, I copied the Prompt Playback block from the working 9902 Call Flow and pasted it into the 9901 Call Flow, rebuilt 9901, updated the CPS. When I call 9901, I still hear nothing but in the logs I see that the Temp<x>.wav file can't be created...

So, I'm starting to wonder if either the 9901 CPS is somehow bad or if there's a problem with permissions somewhere... To be continued! :)
