Good day, I currently have Mitel\Shortel in our environment but we want to migrate away from that and use 3CX PBX, Is it possible to use our existing phone or do we have to purchase new hardware?

Probably not and I wouldn't recommend it anyway. Why even buy phones? The 3CX DesktopApp with a USB headset is much better ;)

Some Mitel might work if they are SIP and not their proprietary protocol.

You are probably right. It's just trying to convince users to not use desk phones that is the issue. In our environment, we have receptionists and security booths that just have a physical phone. I guess they can use the mobile app but how convenient would that be for users who transfer calls all the time?

The mobile app is very easy to use so transferring calls wouldn't be too complex.

You can flash mitels devices with Sip FW but depending on model and setup not everything wil work and its not supported.
Either supported deskphones or softphones on computers or the app on mobile is the way to go.

Hi,

Those models are not supported by 3CX. If you take on the responsibility to make them work manually you will also have to work through any gremlins which might not be something you want to end up doing.

If you don't have too many phones, look at replacing them from something in our Preferred list:

We also offer a web, desktop and mobile app!
