Can I build a new 3CX server with an license that is in use already without interruption in Production?

I need to move a client to our hosting platform but they requested to keep the "old" system up while we configure the new one for them, They want to use the same license as in production and need to keep the calls coming in until we are ready to go live on the new system.

Spin up a free licence/POC for the time of the setup, then move the old licence there once it's done.

You cannot use the same licence on 2 servers unless Enterprise (for failover only), which has 1 active and 1 passive only.

What @Frederick Marcoux said is correct, but just to make sure that no obstacles pop up during the migration, please provide the following information:

1. Where are you migrating from and where to?
2. What are you using as clients (IP Phone, Webclients, Mobile apps, etc)
3. Will the clients be remote to the 3CX PBX?
4. Are you planning on keeping the same FQDN?
5. What SIP Trunks are you using, IP Based, Register Based or Gateways?

@Kenneth Hoyos,

Before you proceed, just know that the steps mentioned previously will result in changing your FQDN. Specifically, the FQDN of the second 3CX Instance will be kept and bound to your existing License Key. This in turn means that you will have to factory reset and reprovision all remote IP Phones as well as reprovision all 3CX Clients since they will need to be configured with the new FQDN to allow them to contact the new 3CX Instance. Is this something you would like to do?
