Can I "Click" status, availability, etc on the phone app to quickly send to voicemail "closed due to weather", etc?

We have the call queue say "please hold, etc" during office hours and sorry closed, etc" on the receptionist voicemail when our hours show closed.

We have multiple lines. Is there an easy way, if we have a bad storm or emergency, I can quickly use my phone to "click" something that changes the voicemail to another voicemail message, like "Due to weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances, we are closed, etc"

I don't see how this can be done from a phone, I think someone would have to make the change within the management console.

You can use the 3CX Web client to change the status of a department, or use the 3CX call scripts available to put the whole pbx into out of office hours if needed.

What if I login as the receptionist on my phone, could I click the status and select "Away" or "Do not Disturb"? or just take receptionist out of the queue?

That wont play any massage such as
"Due to weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances, we are closed, etc"
Just may reroute call to voicemail or Destination if no answer preset

You dont need to log in as the receptionist, but if you have the relevant right to do so, you will be able to change the status of another extension within your department.

Thanks. I do have the rights. Can I "Change the status of another extension" within the phone app?

No, this will need to be from a Web Client or PWA to do so.

ok. I am experimenting with changing the voicemail to the call forwarding for the status "Not Available".
I also have the call queue go to receptionist voicemail when no answer. Hoping if I login to Receptionist on my phone app, and change that status to "Not Available", that it will play my "Office closed for weather voicemail"
- much easier to change through phone app, when driving -

We do have the capability to put the PBX or a department into out of office hours if you need to.

So it would just be a dial code for you.

Take a look at the scripts available on the PBX for this.

would that be through the Call Flow Designer? - I am on 3cx hosted, by the way.

Switching the receptionist to "Not Available" worked. But the caller has to go to the queue first and wait 45 seconds until someone doesn't answer before it goes to the receptionist "not available" voicemail.

That would mean that you have an agent logged in to the queue, or the queue doesnt have its timing configured to go to a destination out of office hours

Call scripts, and yes they are now available on the hosted platform as well.
