got it.. thank you.. I guess at this point it will be simpler to ask outside sales to install the 3CX app on their phones.. thanks again for all your help

I would recommend using the 3CX app as well as it will make the process easier. The users can also switch their status easily though the app. If they do not want the client to ring however just disable push under extensions settings so the client does not receive any calls.
