Hi @multitech in simple words:

Windows App makes reference to the legacy application used in V16. It is a windows native aplication that uses SIP authentication.

The Desktop app is the new version that was launched with v18. It is webrtc based, so it uses web authentication instead. This application uses an electron framework too.

Both can be used with the v18 sp8.

And as alternative you can use the PWA, you may read further in this manual.
