Can you forward a call directly to someones VM?

When doing a transfer, precede the extension number with *4

is there a way while doing the transfer to add a button to transfer directly to a voicemail instead of adding 4 manually?

It doesn't seem to work on the Softphone. I tried Speed Dial and BLF.
BLF doesn't seem to do anything.
SpeedDial dials *4 and it rings and then goes silent.

On a deskphone, I use a button type called "PREFIX" and add *4
So we label the button DVM.

So transfer, DVM ####, transfer,

I seem to recall that one user made use of dummy extension and call forwarding. Extension 202 had a dummy set up (Ext 102) that was forwarded to *4202, so if you wanted to go directly to the mailbox, you sent the call to the dummy extension associated with the real number.

I hope I'm remembering that correctly, and that it worked. Wouldn't be a lot of effort to try it out

Are there any plans to include transferring to user's voice mail via the client?

Thank you,
Rami

You can setup a dummy extension and set the forwarding options to forward to another extensions voice mail immediately, or in this case as there will be no handset/phone involved you'd set to forward to vm if extension isnt registered.

When you say Client I'm assuming you are referring to myphone if that is the case you have two options you can either dial *4 and extension ie *4102. When forwarding to VM for extension 102

You say two options - what is the second option?
