Solved Cannot Activate Chrome Extension in Web Client

I have installed the 3CX Chrome Extension. When I navigate to the WebClient, it displays the link in the top-left corner to Activate the Chrome Extension. Clicking the link pops up the permission request to show notifications, and I click to allow that. Normally phone icon for the Chrome Extension would turn blue, but instead it remains gray. When I refresh the page, it no longer displays the "Activate" link in the top left corner, but the Chrome Extension icon is still gray and disconnected.

I have installed the Chrome Extension successfully on multiple computers on my network, but for some reason it is failing to activate on this computer. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the extension multiple times, restarting the computer, etc.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Are you running the latest version of Chrome? What other addons are you using in the browser?

Just a couple of things to check, if it will not activate it is possible that the plugin does not have permissions.

- Check what permissions you allowed for your 3CX domain name in Chrome, and reset them if you want to get the prompts again

- Plug-ins and page scripts are also sometimes blocked by antivirus programs and policies (if your chrome is managed by your organization).

Thanks for the replies. I reset the permissions for the page, but that had no effect (good suggestion though -- that could have been the problem). We don't have any antivirus programs.

I checked on the Chrome version and found that it was out of date. Chrome was having update issues, so I uninstalled Chrome and then installed the latest version. That fixed it! Thank you so much!
