Cannot provisioning Polycom vvx 300 in V16

Hello all,

i've been trying to provisioning Polycom vvx 300 in V16 but always failed.
i followed the direction on 3cx website but it doesnt seems working for me.
upgraded firmware to the latest. the log from phone itself stated it cannot find mac_address.cfg.
i put the config file on c:\Program Data\3cx\data\http\webroot\provisioning\xxxxxxxxxxx

can anybody help me with this???

Also you mention following the directions but the directions don't say anything about putting a config file anywhere so I'm curious which directions you were following?

my 3cx version is V16 running on windows 10 and its connect locally.
i put config files in C:\ProgramData\3CX\Instance1\Data\Http\Interface\provisioning\kyks0h4vau4qf8d

my setting on the phone:
server type: HTTP
server address: http://192.168.0.102:5000/provisioning/kyks0h4vau4qf8d
Boot Server: Option66

file permission is under user with privilege i set to allow all. i will try to set permission on provisioning folder to allow all for testing purposes,

changing the folder and files permission is not helping much.

Ok form a first look, the VVX firmware appears to not be the one in our guide.

This can indeed cause problems, so please start by changing the firmware, and then resetting your phone to factory settings.

You should not need to change the permissions of the folder, its not necessary.
The firmware on the other hand is othe only version we support for these models, so it should be your first priority.

That is the latest firmware i got from polycom for vvx 300. i will try vvx 301 which is ver 6.3.0.14929.

i will post the result.

Do you mean to put VVX301 firmware on the VVX300 phones?

Please avoid using the VV301 firmware on a VV300, because they are different models and there is a danger it may break your phones, something we want to avoid from happening.

You need to install the version that comes with our support package which is specific to your VVX300 model. This version is the one that our provisioning files has been tested and confirmed to work with 3CX.

the phone now has 3cx logo which i need to change it since it is black. how do i do this?
I've tried 456 for the phone password but it doesnt work, any idea?
on the 3CX MC the phone mac is showing unprovisioned, is that normal?

The phone is working fine even before i changed firmware as you suggested.

forget about the phone password, i clear browser and it's work.

Unprovisioned means that it did not provision properly yet. This should go away once it provisions and registers.

The phone password can be found in the extension's provisioning tab.

As for the logo, we support logo provisioning in the Enterprise edition of 3CX via the extension's provisioning tab, but it is not offered for older phones like this one unfortunately.

Please note that legacy and end-of-life phone support is to help you migrate to 3CX (if you have older models) but they have limitations and partial support. Specifically for VVX300 you can see here:
