Hello,

I have the issue that at random times some users cannot search the addressbook within the 3cx Windows App. Nothing is shown.

App log shows:
Error event caught, Cannot send request: RequestLookupContact, channel [ 41930743 with https://3cx.domain.com:5001/myphone/MPWebService.asmx ]
System.InvalidOperationException: Request RequestLookupContact cannot be sent without logging in
bei MyPhoneClientChannelNet.Implementation.ClientChannelImpl.CheckLoggedIn(IExtensible request, IExtensible response)
bei MyPhoneClientChannelNet.Implementation.ClientChannelImpl.<doRequestAsync>d__68.MoveNext()
--- Ende der Stapelüberwachung vom vorhergehenden Ort, an dem die Ausnahme ausgelöst wurde ---
bei System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.ThrowForNonSuccess(Task task)
bei System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotification(Task task)
bei MyPhoneClientChannelNet.Implementation.ClientChannelImpl.<RequestAsync>d__67.MoveNext()

As said, it happens randomly, and only some users experience it. An app restart fixes the Problem.

Server Version is 16.0.5.619 on Debian 9.
Client Version is 16.3.0.144 on Windows 10.
We use Avast Business AV/FW.
Users work through VPN (Cisco AnyConnect with SSL Tunneling and Cisco ASA FW) from home, 3cx connection is also going through the vpn tunnel, we need to keep it this way.

Firewall-Check in 3CX Management Console is green.

All the best,
Ivan.

Hi Ivan,

If I had to guess, I would go with the VPN being the thing causing this.

For best results, the user must first connect to the VPN and then launch the app.

In case the PC sleeps and wakes up, you might need to relaunch the app once the VPN client has reconnected.

I also think this is VPN related, however, this happens even when launching 3cx app after connecting to VPN.
The PC does not go to sleep, the VPN connection does not reconnect (it stays connected for hours), still 3cx app throws this error.
We started using 3cx webclient, much better experience.
