Hello
Setting up free version but it will not activate. Version 18.0.1.237
error is "Unable to reach 3CX License Activation Server. Confirm that your Primary DNS Server is able to resolve activation.3cx.com"
I have run the firewalll test and everything passes ( I have a temporary allow all firewall rule (in and out))

PING activate.3cx.com (104.22.15.119) 56(84) bytes of data.
From 192.168.50.254 (192.168.50.254): icmp_seq=1 Redirect Host(New nexthop: 192.168.50.253 (192.168.50.253))
^C64 bytes from 104.22.15.119: icmp_seq=1 ttl=59 time=1.71 ms

PING activation.3cx.com (35.242.209.148) 56(84) bytes of data.
From 192.168.50.254 (192.168.50.254): icmp_seq=1 Redirect Host(New nexthop: 192.168.50.253 (192.168.50.253))
64 bytes from 148.209.242.35.bc.googleusercontent.com (35.242.209.148): icmp_seq=1 ttl=124 time=22.6 ms

I can access the system using the 3cx.uk fqdn
Instance manager is runing and I can see my instance on the 3cx.com portal
Data Access is off. (not sure if this needs to be enabled)
I have one phone and one user configured

Any ideas?

What are the server network DNS settings - change them to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

When you say you cannot access the 3cx.uk FQDN is this externally or internally. If externally you need allow portforward the https port (443 or 5001) to the 3CX server
If internally you need to setup a dns record on your internally dns servers to point to the local 3CX IP address.

Server is using google dns ( 8.8.8.8 & 4) and I I can access system using fqdn (not can't)
As you can see from the pings the server can resolve both activation and activate.com

Regarding the DNS do make sure that it is actually google's dns replying by running:
Code:
nslookup activation.3cx.com

From the PING results it looks like you might have some kind of additional network routing configuration. Is this the case, is there any particular network configuration that applies to this VM?

Hadn't restarted interface since changing dns so was still using internal DNS server.
removed all local dns and rebooted - activated straight away
Many thanks Chris
