Hi all.

Got an intersting one here. i hope someone can shed some light on what to check.
Its a failover box running Windows Server 2022 and was running V18 with no issues and a single Gamma SIP trunk (Takes the calls when the main phone system or IP is not accessible)
Was working just fine and was a 5 user simple setup.

However got a new V20 key and clean install, and now no matter what i cannot call in.
I can call out just fine, firewall not changed (Server or Main firewall) but when calling in it is silent till it disconnects or says not available.
Trunk light is green (WAN IP not changed or the FQDN)

Is there a rule #1 i have missed in the V20 config ?

Thanks all

failover box?

So you've got 2 PBX running and youre trying to receive calls?

Your port forwarding would need updating to the passive server.

So actually this is a sip trunk failover setup?

Hi all
Let me try and explain again
So the primary box is in the main office with a 16SC Pro license and Gamma trunk.
In the event of it being unreachable (internet down, box offline, bad day) then it fails over to a separate single DDI on another Gamma trunk which routes to the secondary site on a secondary box with a 4SC Pro license and skeleton staff / set of rules.

All of the above has not changed - apart from going from 18 to 20 on the fail over box

I can dial out fine from the fail over box, but dialing in goes nowhere and results in a silent hang up in 20 seconds or so.
No sign of anything in the logs.

So logically you would assume and point the finger at Gamma - but why ? nothing has changed apart from the install and key on site #2 and also dials out fine and shows a green tick and all firewall tests show OK (as they should as nothing has changed on the virtual server or the physical firewall or leased line.

So on a fresh install of V20 is there any rule i have missed, a setting that's been hidden or stealthy stashed somewhere to drop incoming ?

@FPR1 In 3CX V20, failover is only available with the Enterprise license and is no longer supported in the Pro license, whereas in V18, it was supported with the Pro license.

As said this is not failover its a stand alone product on its own license and install, only the Gamma side does the fail over by routing to the secondary (Stand alone) site
Anyway i think i want to revert back to V18, who ever designed the layout in V20 and though that was a good idea wants a slap

Your license cannot go back to v18.

Ok still no further with this.
Even added a voiceflex SIP trunk and its constantly met with the engaged tone regardless of the hunt or call group or extension i point it to.
I find it really odd why it all worked perfectly fine in V18 until i removed the instance and reinstalled V20
