Hello there,

I have installed 3CX on a machine with XP Pro SP2. It sets up fine, and I can reach the admin console from any machine on the network. Also, via softphone, the other machines are able to register, and I see them in the status view. However, when I try to call internal extensions, the call does not connect, it just goes to voicemail (per my settings).

Any ideas?

Here is the log:

Code:

Also, if it is useful, I'm successful in registering a Norwegian VOIP provider. This provider works fine with regular softphone. When making a call to my U.S. cell phone, it rings, and the cell phone can hear the soft phone, but not vice versa.

Here is the log for that call:

Also, I'm using Express Talk as my softphone client. Not sure if that's a problem?

Hi,

10:51:05.213 CallLegImpl::onConnected Call(C:F): Created audio channel for Ext.123 (207.172.31.66:8000) with Media Server (10.10.200.45:7052)

Extension 123 is configured as local but phone uses global addresses.
Change phone settings to use local address. (for Express Talk, uncheck all checkboxes under Settings/Network "Allowing Incoming Calls and Audio.....")
If phone resides outside of local network (where phone system is installed) then setup extension 123 as external.

i have had this messages to and replaced the phone standard audio codecs from 729 to 711 and this type of message was away.

Thanks - I will try that. How do I change the codecs, by the way?

SY: THe problem you're describing seems to be affectin outbound calls, but still doesn't explain why I can't connect computer to computer, right?

As far as codecs, these are my audio codecs on the server machine:

i did it in my IPPhone (hardware)

711 ist good quality and good for Dialtone issues but it will also need the most bandwith

No, my post describes correct configuration of phone that is a local extension.
It is a real reason of all problems you described. Just setup both phones to use local IP.
