Hello,

This is my first attempt at VoIP and I'm sure I've overlooked something.

I have a 3CX system setup with a few softphones, and also a Patton 4114 Smartnode. I have an extension from our PBX fed into the first FXO port. ( Extension 1000 on our PBX)

From another PBX extension I can dial 1000 and get the softphone to ring that is setup in the PSTN forwarding rules. I cannot however dial from the softphone to a PBX extension. Nor can I dial 9 to get an outside line on the PBX.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much,
Jim

You have to study manual and some VoIP How-to.
1. PSTN rules not usable when calling from extension to extension
2. You cannot receive outside line when you dialing 9 (this is not applicable to VoIP PBX)
3. FXO ports must be connected to Trunks, but not to extensions.
