Hi,

I've recently taken over a new customer... Their phones have been running on a Voipfone for a few years, and have been provisioned to that supplier specifically.

I imagine that they have been remotely configured via Snom's RPS service?

So the problem I'm getting... (I've got the handset on the correct Firmware)

If I try to STUN I get the following error:
RPS request for Snom 320 IP Phone of (3001) NOT delivered. You will need to configure the phone manually by copying and pasting the provisioning link https://bbbbbbb-pbx.3cx.co.uk/provisioning/iyi2pd4dha9xu/cfg{mac} in the phone web interface.

Now the real problem is that I can't get these configured manually either by pointing the phones to the configuration URL (as per this guide https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/manually-provision-snom-300-320-360-370/ ) They just don't take the config profile?

So, I'm at a loss now? Is the STUN failure down to the MAC's already being registered - is this something that I need to speak to Snom directly?

Any advice would be appreciated...

Check the firmware and update if necessary

Look at the limitations - https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/snom-300-320-360-370/ you need to disable ' SSL Transport and Ciphers' under settings - security

Note sure , if you have to disable certificate checking on the phone

Hi David,

Usually when you see that error its due to the phone already existing in the RPS database, or in case RPS is down. I think your should contact Snom or the previous provider to remove the existing entry.

Thanks a bunch for that mate - you nailed it - disabling that let the phones provision manually.

Thanks again, you've saved the day :)

Note to self: read the notes :)
