Solved can't update 3xz Hosted VM from 16.0.6.655 to 16.0.7.1078

Hi All,

Any help is appreaciated. i.ve been trying to update the 3CX Debian 9 install to ver 7 - 16.0.7.1078 which is avaiable in the updates, but selecting it to download and it just revert back to login prompt and nothing happend.

the auto installation over the weekend did work either.

tried the troubleshoot -

sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get install -f

but still no luck.

PS: Free space is 7GB and recently updated hte license key from std to professional.

Based on the above, it looks like the upgrade is failing due to some Linux packages not being upgradable. This can sometimes happen if you manually upgraded something to a version we do not support, and some 3CX packages can no longer be applied, or if the repositories were modified at some point .

I would recommend that you take a full 3CX backup, then recreate a fresh VM and install again using our latest ISO https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/installing-debian-linux-pbx/

Thanks John_S, downloaded the latest backup and restored using cmd udirng fresh installation. all good thanks for the prompt reply and guidance.
