Hello,

Im trying to make outbound calls and im having an intermittent problem "Cause: 408 Request Timeout/INVITE from local".

If i keep trying the number it will eventually call it. I thought at first it was a firewall issue, but i check the ports and its all good.

This is a pbx in a cloud install.

Any ideas on what else it could be?

Sounds like a provider issue? Who is it and have you talked to them about it?

Hello @Darren Birnie

The first thing to check is that the firewall checker test passes. Then check the Activity log of the PBX and look any errors. This error i usually produced when an Invite is being sent but there is no reply within the given time frame so the call is cancelled.

Hi Yiannish,

So the firewall checker passed perfectly. Ill keep my eye on the activity log, but nothing jumped out at me yet. I added two outbound routes, one with voip.ms and one with DIDWW, both have the same issue, so i doubt its a provider issue.

You could also run a wireshark capture on the 3CX machine and try to replicate the issue. Once it is replicated go through the capture and check if the Invite is sent to the provider and if there is an answer.
