Hi,
Running V12 on a site that we are setting up to send CDR to an external billing server over a WAN link.
Have set the 3CX to send CDR detail over a socket connection and edited the xml file with the destination address, and call info is going through to the billing server okay.
Question:
If the WAN link drops or the billing server goes down, and therefore 3CX cannot complete the connection to send its call data, does it store this info in a buffer for transmission when the link is restored?
If so, how much storage does this buffer have, and is it configurable?
if not, then does anyone have a suggestion as to how to handle this?
On the previous Siemens system (serial CDR OP) we were using an external serial to IP buffer box that could (in the event of link failure) store 50,00 events before over writing and losing call billing output. Cant seem to find an IP buffer box.
Also is there any way to monitor if the 3CX has lost connection to the billing server?
