Change Auth ID and Password length and requirement

Hi,

I have 555 room hotel which implemented 3cx V16 in 2020 and now with V18 the Auth ID and Passwords don't accept because V18 doesn't allow new ext that don't meet the min requirement (10 character plus all symbols).

My issue is when we upgrade 95% of my extension didn't have the complex ID and Passwords and they work on V18 after upgrade but doesn't allow me to change Auth ID Password on any new extensions added after the upgrade.

So how does V18 accept the extension that were moved with upgrade but not new once?

Hello,

Any extensions saved with less secure credentials will continue to work as long as you dont make any changes.

But if you want to add new ones, or change existing ones, then you need to increase the complexity (or use the regenerate feature to update all the passwords at once to a new random password).

What type of phones were you using in the hotel rooms? Was it supported models that we provision automatically?

We have the similar Problem. We use the Gigaset Fixed IPUI implementation

But a IPUI of an Handset has only 10 characters+Numbers and unfortunatly some only have one character.

Why we don't change the rules by myself ? give a chance in Parameters for override.
