Hello.
We want to change the FQDN after installation and configuration.
We found this article: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/change-fqdn-afterwards.47988/

In short:
1) backup the PBX but exclude "Include License Key Information & FQDN"
2) release the old FQDN in https://customer.3cx.com
3) reinstall the PBX with new FQDN
4) restore the backup

Can anyone confirm that this works?
We want to use a non-3CX FQDN. Is there any issues if a self-signed certificate is used?
What will happen with the web meeting FQDN? I guess, this will change, too.
Thanks for help.

Hi Denko,

A self-signed certificate was supported in v14 of 3CX but not any longer. And yes the Webmeeting FQDN will change, however with an FQDN and SSL of your own you can assign what you like as your new one (within reason).

The procedure you mentioned is correct but you can use your own FQDN only if you are running a PRO or ENT version. On Standard you can only use a 3CX FQDN.

Please note that when you use a custom FQDN you have to manage it and be responsible for the certificate renewals.

OK. Thanks for help.
The TTL of a 3CX FQDN in the enterprise edition is 300.
The TTL of a 3CX FQDN in the pro edition is 21600.
Correct?
