Change from NVR key to Paid key

I'm currently have my install V15 on a NVR key. I want to switch it to a paid key. I want to confirm what I think the process to switch over is.

1. Backup system with out key and FQDN.
2. Release FQDN.
3. Reinstall 3CX.
4. Restore using new paid key and FQDN that was used before.

Or is there an easier procedure?

That is the process. But if you haven't purchased a key yet, then the easier process is to upgrade your PBX key into a paid one. This can be done via any 3CX partner (such as myself). Then you don't have to do any of those steps.

If you release your FQDN and it is on the 3cx.us i.e. example.3cx.us, you will probably lose it as the domain is exhausted. As cobaltit said, best to upgrade to a paid version through a partner.
