Hello,

We need to change the network interface option over Provisioning tab on phones just registered/provisioned on our 3CX. From IP address to FQDN. Phones (Yealink) have been provisioning by own web site with the provisioning link. We've tried to export extensions, edit the CSV and sets FQDN instead IP, delete extensions, import CSV and restart or reprovision the phones but they still use IP address as SIP account or provisioning link.

Any idea in this case? In case of use a custom template, we can force the IP/FQDN of the 3CX?

Regards,

When you installed 3CX did you select IP address or FQDN in step 7 - https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/configuring-your-pbx/

I am guessing IP address if the provisioning link contains the IP address and not FQDN.

If the above is correct, you may have to reinstall 3CX - backup your 3CX without license and FQDN , uninstall 3CX and restore using the backup. Before doing the restore you may have to detach the license key from any FQDN in use within the customer portal.

Are you planning on using your own FQDN or 3CX supplied one - if using your own one you may need an ssl certificate

Hello @VictorSP

By changing the network interface under the extension settings will change the location the phones go to to connect to the PBX. In other words it will change the server host in the phones web interface. If that points to the local IP of the PBX then the phones will register.
That should also change the provisioning link to the FQDN. Just edit an extension and navigate to the Phone provisioning tab. Then select the FQDN from the "Select Interface" menu and click OK to confirm the changes. If you access the extension again the provisioning link should now include your FQDN.

The PBX was installed also with an internal FQDN so we can select FQDN or IP under Provisioning Tab. We want to change to FQDN for a failover scenario so over 1.000 phones provisioned by IP need to be updated to FQDN. We want to impact as less as possible to our customer. Changing to FQDN under Provisioning Tab manually or by editing CSV not update the provisioning link under phone's web site. It seems we'll need to setting manually the new provisioningin link (http://fqdn/prov...) on each phone's web.

Any other solution?
