Hello

I have an installation with 60 extensions, for Company A and Company B.
Using only 1 trunk, with 2 DID (1 for Company A and the other one for Company B)

It seems that when calling external, it's always Company A's DID that shows at the destination phone.

What I did is place all Company B extensions in an Extension Group. Thought it was a good first step.
But is it possible now to show Company B's when calling out from a Company B extension?
If yes, how?

Thanks !

Select all your Company B's extensions, and set the "Outbound Caller ID" to the right DID. You can bulk edit using the checkbox in the list.

Note that this only change the number, not the name displayed.

So easy, thanks :-)

The only thing is that I have to do it 1 by 1, can't do it in bulk since the field is not available (the bulk feature does not allow many things... like for instance when the customer asked me to stop the Power LED to blink on the phones, I had to do it 1 by 1, on the 60 phones...)

Yeah, phone options are getting a revamp I think in a future update.

I though that field would've been available.

OK I did modify the outgoing DID on my own extension, on our own 3CX server, and it's working
I did the exact same thing on the customer's server, and not working. Still showing the main trunk number when calling out.
I don't understand why.

Check your outgoing parameters, they might be modified.

Solved !

Changing anything on the 3CX side had no effects (the outgoing parameters had no results whatever I put), and I did not understand why it was working on our own server, with the exact same configuration, and same trunk provider.

That's when I had the idea to look at the trunk provider's backoffice. For our own trunk we had "Transparent mode" activated which was not set for our customer's trunk.
Did the change. And voilà ;-)

Lucky this parameter was available on our trunk provider backoffice, otherwise I had to open a ticket with them and wait...

I'm glad to hear it was resolved. It's often forgotten than quite a few providers now have a management portal
