Change password for 3CX App only

Had a staff member leave a client who has the 3CX App on their personal phone.
I want to remove their access (easiest was would be change password) but not disrupt desk phone as new user sitting there.
What is the best way to do this please?
Deskphone is behind SBC so killing off remote access via tunnel is not an option.

If I change extension password, is the app smart enough to work around this or will this stop the app and I just login to deskphone and change password there then all is happy?

No only solution is to delete extension and recreate then set it on new user app

If the person left, the best thing is to delete and recreate.

Changing the password will not prevent their mobile app or windows client from reprovisioning.

Can I just delete extension and then recreate with same number?
People are used to that desk being extension XXXX
