Hello,

I have a mix of Yealink T3x, T4x phones. With my old PBX, I could see the CNAM on the caller ID for inbound. Now I only see the numbers (with the option of adding the group, queue or DID names of course). How can I extract the CNAM from my VoIP provider and display on the screen for incoming calls? Is this a template change for the phone possibly?

Thanks.

Confirm, using the 3CX Activity Log for an incoming call, that your provider is sending a name. If sent, it would normally show on the set by default, although there could be a set option preventing that. It can be replaced by a name with a matching number in the company directory, or a directory on the set. It can also be "pushed" off the screen if you have added a long name to a DID, ring group, or Queue.

I see the CNAM in the activity log below. (I added the asterisks). You can see the From field below has it, but I don't see how to get that to show on my Yealink screen on an incoming call.

I think I got it! I changed the CallerName in Inbound Parameters to "From:Display Name" and it appears to be working. I thought maybe that would screw up in coming calls, so I didn't mess with that before.

Do you get a name appearing if called by another extension?

Never mind, you answered in the meantime...

Glad you were able to get it working.

Glad to see the issue has been resolved and thank you for updating the thread with your solution
