Solved Check the maximum usage of my sip-trunk

Hello,

my PBX is limited to 8 simultaneous calls. My actual sip trunk however can handle 10 incoming and 100 outgoing.
Now that I never hit the 8 call limit in the PBX (and here internal calls are counting as well) I have the feeling, that I'm not even close to the 8 at any time. So maybe I could save some money at the sip-trunk . Is it somehow possible to find out how many parallel calls the pbx has got in the past year(s)? Hopefully subdivided in internal/incoming/outgoing. Or are such statistics simply not present?

There is no historical reporting for simultaneous call usage in 3CX. There are tools you can use if you have CDRs for that time period (like CallSequitur)

You could also run a call report for a specific period of time, import the data into excel and some month to get an average of daily calls. It won't be perfect but it will give you an idea on how much usage you have.

As mentioned by @cobaltit, CallSequitur would provide the sort of information you are looking for. It does require that CDR output is enabled in your 3CX PBX, but as most people don't make use of CDRs then you might as well turn CDR output on and use CallSequitur to capture and analyse your CDRs. It provides a completely different near real-time view of your PBX activity that 'at a glance' shows you whether everything is running normally!

For historical analysis of trunk utilisation the Call Analysis module will show SIM calls broken down by call type:


There is also a live updating chart of SIM calls (or other parameters) showing call data over the last 24 hours:
