We're using 3CX since some weeks on-premise within a Debian-Hyper-V machine.
The PCs are connected through the LAN-Port of the phones. Fixed MAC-Address, fixed IP and NTP are configured.

Basically everything's running fine. Only the chrome extension seems to loose connection several times a day. There are in general no connection issues at all with the PCs or the desk phones. However the dialer closes and comes back again some seconds later. During a call last week (I've used the desk phone) the dialer closed 3 times within the 60 minutes of my call. I had no interference on the phone's connection.

Anybody out here, who has/had the same behavior and can tell what to do?

Hi,

What if you bypass the phone LAN port and connect your PC directly for a day?

Since the PC relies on the phone to reach the network, this should be the first logical step to test.

Tried that already as I had the same idea. Makes, however, no difference.

Ok then we have potentially eliminated the LAN bridge at least.

Can we also test by removing the chrome extension and using only the webclient for a while?

Webclient runs smoothly. No disconnects. I'd also already monitored the overall-connection of my PC to the LAN without any interruptions. Right now I'm testing the extention with windows firewall switched off.

Ok, turned out their must have been something wrong with the Hyper-V machine. Or at least with it's network setting. Couldn't find a solution. I've now switched to an install on a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB RAM and the extension runs just perfect now.

Hyper-V has had some issues with LAN in the past, not sure if you read this:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/installing-microsoft-hyper-v/

I also remember people mentioning that certain server LAN cards tended to misbehave and needed either a driver update or replacement with a different chipset. You might want to search the forum for something related to that.

Yes, everything had been set as described and all desk-phones were working properly, besides the chrome extensions.

Actually I'm totally fine with the solution we have now, as it's also not the best solution to have the 3CX in a Hyper-V-Machine because the phoneserver will obviously reboot when the host server reboots (i.e. for installing updates).

Yep, the Pi 4 is a pretty solid piece of hardware, and quite capable too

Totally. However, would be nice to have it in the instance manager. But for some reasong the function is not available in the pi-version.

Yes, at the moment it is only available for Debian on PC.
