Is it possible somehow to import CID rules in V.20, like in V.18 ?
I have a customer, who would like to have a list of over 2000 VIP customers, who need to be serviced in a separate queue.
The only way seems to be able to enter number by number in Settings | Advanced | CID rules, but this will take days to accomplish.

While you could route VIP callers with CID rules, I think you have hit on the primary challenge. Using CID rules means the 3CX administrator needs to maintain the rules, or grant end-users system-wide permission to the 3CX console. Neither of these options is ideal.

I admit to not knowing the answer about importing the rules, but even if you can, this only temporarily solves the problem. You do not want to handle updating the CID rules every time there is a new VIP customer. Ultimately, the managers are going to want to handle this themselves.

The solution is to create a script that evaluates inbound calls to determine whether the caller ID number of the inbound call is in the VIP list. But you still need a customer facing interface for updating the database of VIP customers. I encourage you to take a look at our 3CX Call Router tool. We provide the CFD application (script) and a secure web interface that enables the end-users to manage the list of VIP customers themselves without needing to depend on the 3CX administrator, and without needing to give them 3CX console access.
