We have been using 3CX for some time and are considering becomming reseller partners - great product. We have been using Cisco 7940 and 7960 phones, and they work fine. The one element that is missing is a cordless phone that can access the 3CX server.

Looks like the Cisco 7921 would fill the need, but everything we have researched has yet to turn up a SIP firmware version for this - only SCCP. Does anyone know definitively whether this phone can be made to work with 3CX? Thanks.

You have to contact cisco to see if they have a sip firmware. By default this device came out on the market without SIP protocol support. You need to check whether they released a sip IOS. Till a couple of months ago people were still asking for SIP support.

Thanks Nicky. What other options for cordless phones are supported by 3CX? Opinions as to the best if several?

There are Aastra Dect phones
Snom Dect as well (M3)

Those are the ones we have in our test labs at the moment. I cannot think of any others at the moment. But I think there is a something else

have a look here..

Don't have any experience of the Aastra DECT but have been using the Snom M3 for some time now. Good phone and works well with 3CX.
