WOrking on a new 3CX install for a client and they have a couple of Cisco 7940's that I need to configure. I've walked through the steps in the following URLs to the letter:

http://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/cisco-7940g-7960g/
http://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/dhcp-option-66/

It's pretty straightforward except I'm unclear on what the exact value for DHCP Option 66 should be as I'm not having much luck getting this phone to provision. The DHCP server is Windows 2012. The 3CX server is on Win8 Pro and the IP is 10.1.1.18. The phone has an IP reservation of 10.1.1.153

I've tried the following values to try and get this to work without success:

http://10.1.1.18:5000/provisioning/5z62oyx3z0
http://10.1.1.18:5000/provisioning/5z62oyx3z0/
http://10.1.1.18:5000/provisioning/5z62oyx3z0/$MA.xml
http://10.1.1.18:5000/provisioning/5z62oyx3z0/SIP000A8A93D991.cnf

The 3CX-generated configs and firmware are sitting in the provisioning/5z62oyx3z0/ folder and I can get the files via connecting to the URL via a web browser. I've also tested using an tftp client to pull the config file and it transfers fine.

The phone already has the latest SIP firmware installed, in fact we were running the phone with a direct SIP connection to a Callcentric account and it worked perfectly. I have done (several) factory resets to clear all settings prior to walking though the steps laid out in the URL's I mentioned above.

The phone ends up sitting at the "Configuring IP" phase with the "Unprovisioned" tag on the top of the display.

Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?

Hi there,
DHCP Option 66 should have value = IP_PBX (10.1.1.18 in your case) for these phones.
