im trying to setup Cisco SPA 112 as STUN. And the adapter won’t connect. It connects no problem via SBC. But I’d like it as STUN. I put my STUN server information in and changed the drop down use STUN as yes and still won’t connect to my IP PBX. Is there any other setting that I have to make.

Do you see a registration attempt in the 3CX Activity Log? If so, what IP is it attempting to register as?

Did you change the Proxy address to that of the 3CX server?

I would also consider your firewall here was well (NAT and port forwarding rules) if you do not see a connection attempt when you trace it maybe blocked by your firewall.

In the ata it says failed. I can connect via sbc without any issues it’s STUN that I’m having an issue with. All my other phones but 2 connect via STUN without any issue. So I’m wondering if anyone knows if there are other settings that I need to make in the webgui firmware

STUN is not a great solution when using more than 1 or 2 endpoints onsite.

I only use STUN for single home users.

If you look at the extension(s) under provisioning you will see that more ports are incrementally added also.

Well my 3cx is hosted in a cloud. I have 10 phones using STUN with out any issues. Only 2 phones use SBC as they don’t support STUN. This is how I was originally setup. But I’m trying to get the ATA in STUN. As soon the 2 phones using SBC will be replaced and will use STUN

Do you have disallow use outside of LAN unchecked? SBC connections are considered to be inside the LAN, while STUN is not.
