Hello,

we use the German Telekom as provider with the Clip No Screening feature. In most cases it works. However, as soon as the destination is abroad, or sometimes national, the outbound caller ID is transmitted instead of the clip no screen number. Is it because some providers do not support it or can we change something in the 3CX system to make it work better ?

Thank you

Hi,

Clip No Screening means that you tell the provider what Outbound ID you want to use.

But this does not mean necessarily that they will honor this in all scenarios (or at all).

You can inform your provider about this and give them an example call with timestamp so they can investigate.

However, if you look at our supported providers, you will see that there is no support for Clip No Screening https://www.3cx.com/partners/sip-trunks/deutschland/

Quite often once the call goes international the PAI header is used instead of the FROM header. Depending on your carrier you may be able to manipulate the PAI header to show the originator caller ID.

Hi,

i think it is supported, or what is meant by Separate service?

I mean it works for 99% of all cases.

That sounds good. Where can I find more information about this or how to configure it?

If you go into your SIP trunk and then go to outbound parameters:

The change the PAI User Part to originator caller ID:

Please be aware as you have changed the template this will no loger be a supported senario and may cause your carrier to either reject the calls or change the PAI back to the main billing number. It may be best to check with them if they support changing the PAI header.

That's for the NGN trunk. If you have that product, you need to contact your provider to enable the feature for you.
