Good Morning All,

We have 2 door bells and they were previously configured to ring 2 of our yealink ip phone extensions if someone ringed the bell. This was configured in to our locally hosted phone box therefore the SIP server ip address was directed to private ip address (192.168.1.205) where was the our phone box

We have then moved to the cloud hosted 3CX and i would like to configure those door bells to ring my extension but not sure what ip address i need to add to comelit vip software.

And is there anything i need to do on the 3cx management console (provision etc)

Any help i would be appreciated.

Kind Regards
Taz

Hi Taz,

Since the devices are not officially supported, you will have to to some experimentation to see if you can get them working

The address will become your PBX public IP or FQDN if they accept that. You need a static WAN IP on your cloud PBX otherwise when it changes, the devices will stop registering. if they can accept FQDN however, that should not be an issue.

The extensions will have to have this option disabled so the doorphones can register:

If the devices support STUN mode in their interface, you can enable and add the 3CX STUN server ie. stun.3cx.com otherwise you might have one way audio issues.

Thank you so much John,

I will try my best and share the outcome here.

Hope you have a good day.

Kind Regards

@JohnS_3CX Hi John,

Hope you are ok. I have been trying to register the doorbells since yesterday but no luck. Do you have any suggestion how i can provision them.

They both have a local IP address and sitting on our network but it is not like i can log in to them via browser therefore i have no way of using STUN mode to register them.

I can't register them locally as well as our 3cx system is in the cloud.

so kinda stuck at this step.

Kind Regards
Taz

Sorry Taz, can't really say as I don't know those models. If you can Try adding the public IP of your cloud PBX in their setup software.

You might have some luck if you contact the manufacturer and ask them if they can offer configuration help to register them on a remote SIP server (which would be 3CX in this case)
