Hi,
I've a quick question, I want to know if there's any limitation in call conference in below conditions.
1. internal conference
2. external conference
3. mixture of both internal and external call conference
If there's a limitation, how can I find the exact number for each condition and how can I change it if needed.
Thanks in advance for your kind help and support
Best regards

Your limitation is the amount of simultaneous calls you have in the system. If they are not being taken up you should be able to use them.

Hi,
Thanks for your kind help, How can I check how many simultaneous call I can have?

Check on your 3CX Dashboard under the licence details.

Alternately on the Dashboard itself it will say "number of simultaneous calls" 0/32 for example.

32 would denote a 32 sim call licence.

So my limitation is based on my license then or system spec?

If I get it right, so if I've better system (higher spec) then I'd be able to have more simultaneous calls (conference) without changing my license, is that it?

No, simultaneous calls is how many concurrent calls are going through the system at any one time.

If you have 8 you can have 8 calls of any type - same for 16/32/64 etc.

System spec wont have anything to do with this however the system needs to be of the correct specification for the right SC call licence, if not the system wont manage.

So I need both correct license, quantity and good system to be able to handle the calls.

Pretty much yes. The system spec is only a guideline, however a guideline that I would recommend you stick to.

Great, thanks a lot.
one more question, I've 32 sim calls and 100 sim meeting participants, what is that 100 means and how can I use it?

That is your 3CX webmeeting participants. Different to conference calling - this is your "get out of jail card" if you reach your maximum participant limit for call conference using audio - just switch to webmeeting: https://www.3cx.com/video-conferencing/

The other factor besides system specs is your bandwidth. But webmeeting uses WebRTC which is different from the SIP call paths/channels in the PBX itself. Also, there is a limit on the max number of participants in a single (SIP) conference call. I thought the limit was like 32 and that was either in a single conference room or aggregate but it may have been increased. I can't find any documentation on the limit except for this link which says up to 128 callers. So this means with a 256 or larger license you could still have a max of 128 callers in a single (SIP) conference call/room. I don't know if there is a still an aggregate limit.

I am sure I read that the limit was down to licence only but have absolutely no hard evidence to support that.

I would however be interested to hear use cases for an audio conference which would be more than 128SC as requirements for that amount would really be for "present to an audience " type conferences of which web meeting would be a preferred option.
