Conference Emails not sending

I'm not sure why you feel you 'need' to use your own SMTP but I'd revisit that stance if at all possible.

Because our customers expect an email from us to come from our domain. Surely that isn't too hard to understand?

Government customers can be quite picky.

No, not hard to understand. Neither is the difference between 'expect' and 'require'. Thus why I asked the question on what your 'need' was based on. If it's only expect, then manage the expectations by having a conversation with a decision maker. If it's require then I'd use a 3rd party SMTP service which will give you more flexibility and visibility if 3CX doesn't behave as expected. I did this before 3CX supported O365.

And all customers can be picky.

Anyone have any luck resolving this?

Support doesnt want to acknowledge this as a known issue.

I haven't had any reported issues of this in my customer base, but I also don't have a lot of customers who use this capability. But I also use the 3CX SMTP exclusively for almost all my installs. Has anyone done any troubleshooting besides switching SMTP? I see people saying 3CX SMTP works or switch to Gmail works. So how about trying to wireshark the SMTP connection to see if 3CX is even making an attempt for the conference/webmeeting emails vs the voicemail/welcome emails? Or try configuring O365 as a custom server instead of the O365 template?

We too have just discovered we are having this issue. All other emails that I tested are working fine, but conference call emails are not going through Office 365.
I just did a message trace on the email account we are using for 3CX, and all it has are voicemail notifications and welcome emails. It looks like 3CX isn't even trying to send them. I cannot find anything in the 3CX logs about a failure to send.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

Any updates from anyone? I also recently found this issue and have the same reasoning as revilo951 does; employees get suspicious when they see an email from outside of our domain.

Please note that we have confirmed the issue with Office 365 and we are working towards a solution for this. For now i would recommend using the 3CX SMTP server if you have the ability to do so.

Thank you for letting us know. Have there been any updates on this since your last reply?

Unfortunately no as our R&D department is still working on the issue. As above i would recommend using the 3CX SMTP if you are able to do so

@YiannisH_3CX

I was looking through the change logs and I saw this in the Update 6 beta notes. I'm assuming that's the culprit:

Code:
Fixed Conference Email Template Encoding issue.

Until we get an official confirmation from the R&D department we cannot know what was the cause of the issue. We will have to wait and see.
