Hello,

Does anyone have any idea about Configuring a SonicWALL SonicOS 7.0.1-5119 Firewall with 3CX?
My 3CX is running on a VOIP zone which is segregated from the main LAN.
Please share.

Sonicwalls have a wizard option in the top right that can help you set up your forwarding rules.

I succeeded.

Thank you

I too am having the same issues. I tried to use the v6 instructions but some of them don't directly translate over to the v7 interface. The problem I am having is we are changing out our old Watchguard firewall and the incoming phone calls will not ring on the 3CX Grandstream phones if I put the Sonicwall in place. I cannot get into the Watchguard and we don't know who originally configured the system. I have not tried the Wizard option but will try that next. Also does anyone know where the "Firewall Checker" was moved too because I need to check if the ports are actually open after programming the new Sonicwall?

I've written the v7 instructions and 3CX will likely publish the guide soon.

The firewall checker should be on the main management console page, like always.

Is there anyway you could email the v7 instructions to me? I need to get this done. Thanks.

I followed the same KB article for V6 and it worked well, the only problem I have is that I can't access 3CX using FQDN on the same network.

I was able to get access into the 3CX dashboard, but cannot find the port check tool. Can someone tell me where its located?

Is it under ADVANCED or SETTINGS?

stephensatt,

There is a section in the middle pane of the dashboard called Firewall. Click on that.

You have to configure a loop back rule.

Ok found it. Thanks for the replies. I am going to try and reprogram the firewall first using the wizard.

@vincent Kavila @stephensatt @Chris-MBN @SweetAction or other :

Can you please share a full documentation step-by-step to configure SonicWALL TZ 270 (Gen7) with 3CX local and best pratices ?

I need configure NAT 1:1 rules and NAT LoopBack for FQDN.

I don't have local DNS Server (Microsoft).

Thanks in advance,
Best regards

did you ever figure out your issue with accessing 3CX server via FQDN on the same lan? Curious if you ever found a fix to your issue as I'm having the same issue. I have tried many guides, but nothing seems to be working for me. I can access the server via IP, but get the "Red error message at the top of the admin landing login page". ANy suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks
