Hi all,

So this may have been answered but I've spent a few days looking for a solution and have been unable to find one. I'm completely new to PBX's and I'm still getting my bearings so bare with me if I seem a little less knowledgeable than most others.

I need a way to display what extension the Digital Receptionist is diverting the call to on the desk phone. In example: someone calls the number provided by my SIP provider, this then goes to the Digital Receptionist which asks the user to select an option (ranging from 1-4), once the option has been selected this will then transfer to an extension.

We're using Yealink T58A phones which have 4 extensions logged in concurrently on the latest 3CX Stable build (standard not pro, hosted on site), but we need to be able to identify which extension the call is for to enable us to either ignore the call or answer it. In its current state it only displays the Caller's ID and doesn't display any extension information.
We'd also like the notifications to display which extension voicemails are left for but I think this may be a limitation of the device rather than the PBX.

Is there any way to display what extension a call is for when transferred from the Digital Receptionist on these devices?

Thanks in advance!

Are you using an IVR with 4 choices all forwarded to the same phone with 4 separate extensions set on it?

What about routing each choice, in the IVR, to a separate ring group, each with a single member (or multiples), where a name (or number) can be added to the caller ID?

Sorry for the late replies, as you can imagine, times are hectic given the world situation right now!

The IVR is set up that each option links to an extension (so pressing would would reach ext for person a, option 2 for person b etc etc) it doesn't forward to a specific phone as each phone has all extensions logged in at once.

What about routing each choice, in the IVR, to a separate ring group, each with a single member (or multiples), where a name (or number) can be added to the caller ID?
That might just be the solution, I'll have to tinker around with your suggestion and see where that one takes me.
