Hello Support, I have a customer who needs to migrate from their current end of support PBX however they are asking if 3CX will be able to communicate with their PMS system over TCP/IP. I have seen where the MITEL SX2000 protocol is supported but not for guest calls which is a key requirement for this customer. I see also that CDRs can be pushed to a server on the LAN but is this communication in HOBIC or HOLIDEX format? If not is there a bridge that can get it into this format so my use case can be completed?

Hi @AndrewD246 !

We have an article explaining the 2 PMS protocols 3CX Supports (SX-2000 and Fidelio):
https://www.3cx.com/docs/pms-integration/

About SX-2000, while the interface we have does not send the actual billing cost, it does send the Room/Extension number that made an External Call and the duration of that call.

An example of the message 3CX would send using SX-2000 is this:

How this reads is "Room 112 made and external call that lasted 36 seconds".

On the other hand, with the Fidelio interface, 3CX sends a lot more information, an example of which is this:
1628499408578.png
This contains the Room number (112) that made the call, the date/time (21/08/2021 11:41:22), the duration (34s) and the call cost 3CX attributed to the call (146 units).

This is great news as currently it is the PMS that rates the guest calls. Just to confirm however, is the number called also included the message shared via the MITEL protocol emulation?

Unfortunately not, the only information that is transmitted from 3CX over the SX-2000 PMS interface is what is shown in the screenshots between the STX and ETX tags, so only the caller and the duration.

Thanks for that update but going out on a limb here, what is considered an "external" call by 3CX? Also will calls not connected (no answer or busy) get reported to the PMS?

Any call to something that is not a 3CX Extension or entity.
Also no, only established calls will be reported.

Thanks again all for the responses. I will be going into a POC with the PMS vendor and based on what information they can get from the integration, we will know if a 3rd party bridge is going to be required or not.
