Hi,

We have a NEC VS 8100 PBX and another 3CX PBX system. We need to use both the systems since some of the extension numbers will be in NEC and others in 3CX. We have bought necessary licenses for NEC including SIP truck license and other required licenses and installed.

What we need is to make necessary configurations from both the systems so that calls can be made and received between these two systems. We are able to make calls from 3CX to NEC extension, but couldn't configure how this can be made from NEC to 3CX. We cannot make any calls from NEC to 3CX yet.

Appreciate if anyone could help step by step instructions on how this can be achieved.

Thanks

there are two different ways to try.

1) Create a extension on 3cx and then create a trunk on the NEC to use the 3cx's extension setup then create outbound rules on the NEC to use the new trunk for the extensions on 3cx.. this will allow you to be treated as an extension on 3cx but the Callername and ext will be the extension on 3cx.

The other way is to create a Bridge on 3cx as the master. and then create trunk on the NEC, hopefully it has an interoffice option as asterisk/freepbx does and you can follow the example in http://www.3cx.com/forums/3cx-to-asterisk-bridge-invite-failed-40345.html

Hi,

Could you please elaborate step by step on how to configure it? Specially on NEC side.

Thanks

I just googled setting up a sip trunk NEC VS 8100 PBX, I am pretty sure you can find what you need on that side.
