Constant ringing, SPA-3102 not passing call to 3CX

Yes you are 100% correct.
 
Well if the numbers that do get through, do so 100%, then its not a registration issue.

Ok. so if you put a phone on the PSTN line and one of the numbers that doesnt get through calls the number, the phone rings. If it does, then there is something in the SPA thats discriminating numbers. (yes you know this already).

So, is there a dial plan in the SPA for incoming numbers on the PSTN.

I just tried it and it works just fine with a normal phone. In our company we've whittled it down to this one number. The strange thing is that the SPA shows it as the last PSTN caller, but it doesn't do anything more with it.

I don't know if there is a dial plan for incoming. Maybe Henk has some input as far as that goes?
 
Oh, and I've changed the config per Henk's instructions with no change. I have also updated the date/time. Does the FXS Impedence in the Regional tab have anything to do with the FXO impedence or it that not connected?
 
re impedance, thats only the electrical characteristics.

Ok re the normal, phone that was just to clarify it wasnt a dial plan at your PSTN provider.

I'll have to download a manual, but maybe Henk knows something about incoming dial plans for the 3102. I know there is one in my old Sipura SPA 3000.


I could never get my head fully round the SPA 3000 dial plans which is why I went to the simple HT488 by Grandstream, having said that the SPA series are very powerful in respect of features and I did play about with them.

You can't be far wrong, I compared you config with mine and the only differences (apart from regional time, tones, CID etc which really shouldn't affect things) are:
1) In LAN setup mine is set to Networking service = Bridge with Enable DHCP Server = No.
This means only the WAN port is used.
2) In Voice/PSTN Line I have VoIP-to-PSTN Gateway Setup:
Line 1 VoIP Caller DP = None
VoIP Caller Default DP = None
3) In Voice/PSTN Line I have PSTN-to-VoIP Gateway Setup: PSTN Ring Thru Line 1 = Yes
4) In Voice/PSTN Line I have Dial Plan 8 as (S0:10000)

I really can't remember at this distance of time the exact logic behind some of the above - I just know it works faultlessly (in the UK at least) for both I/C & O/G PSTN.

Also you might want to try disabling Line 1 in case there is some dial plan / ring thru feature that is still affecting things with the incomer caller that causes the problems!

I do not have an answer, just yet. Its been a while (well atleast 1 year) since I last looked at my SPA config. I know it is in the comms room, and it is connected and it works but no idea where it physically is. So that goes to show.

Ill have a look at your problem by this weekend, dial plans are "black" magic if you ask me. :-).

Gald to hear you feel the same about Dial Plans Henk.

I guess there must be a global pass all numbers.

You do realise Muti, we're all going to end up in rehab after this..

I can setup, and have setup a bit of SIP hardware/software, but I have never touched the settings that are already in the dial plan section. How exactly does that work? It looked like nonsense to me and my linksys guides didn't have anything in them, in fact they had nearly nothing in them that was useful and I was wondering what half the settings in the unit do. Does anyone know of any info on what the settings do and how the dial plan works?
 
I see if I can knock something up what makes more sense.

I ll add it to my userguide for spa3102 and 3cx, give it a few days.

Lost track a little, but have you set Line 1 as Connect Direct to PSTN, see page 36 of the manual you got (the one I wrote :-))>

I've been out for a couple days as my wife had our first baby (it's a boy), so I haven't been checking in on the thread.

Henk,

I use no number to reach an outside line, just pick up the phone and call. How do I make a dial plan that works with that?

Mutti, when you pick up the phone and call, is the outbound call going via PSTN or VOIP provider?

Outgoing and incoming are via PSTN. The VOIP line is used only as a secondandary line.
 
i have the same setup and i can't make any calls...in or out.
