I just configured the new Office 365 Integration Sync and it works fine. I noticed that this features only sync personnal contacts for the users. To update the main contacts list (the list that applies to everyone and to caller ID), do I still have to use the old way ? I get a warning that says: You have enabled Exchange Contact Synchronization. This feature conflicts with Office 365 Contact Synchronization. Please remove Exchange Server Url in Contacts -> Exchange.

Thanks for the post.
Please note that the Contact sync option under contacts > Exchange tab is there for people to be able to sync contacts with an on premise exchange server, whereas the Settings > Office 365 integration section is only for 365 and not an premise exchange server.

Ok but how to I sync a global contact list from a public folder in Office365 to 3CX ? The new Office 365 sync does not seem to allow this. The reason I need this is for caller ID. When a customer calls from a mobile phone, the global contact list allows us to add the name of this person. Without this, we would only see the phone number

yes, but before you try and switch back to the legacy exchange API, stay, we will add more in the future.

But tell me, you enabled public folders or do you work on a shared mailbox?
Creating contacts in office 365 ist self (GAL) is cumbersome...

I enabled public folders.
Problem is: I cannot wait too long because my customer had v15.5 Standard then her system was upgraded to v16 automatically. She lost recording and Office365 contact sync via the 3CX Windows Phone App. I managed to convince her to buy the Pro version to get these features back, but she wants to make sure that the phone Caller ID will display the names from her contacts list. I've tested it on my own v16 Pro and it works, but if I could make it work without having to go through the "impersonated users + public folder" thing, it would be nice. Do you have any idea of when it would be added ?

Currently Office 365 sync does not import a mailbox or public folders into the company directly. TBA
But the 3CXPhone contact sync was also only for "User Contacts" which we already cover in our current implementation of office 365. Confident that it will return for her and all other employees without the hassle they need to configure it all manual...
