We have existing T53 phones, either as Direct SIP or using a standalone SBC. How can I convert it to be a router phone?

Yes, those are done already.

Hi @mikopia,

To configure the router phone, you will have to login to the Web Client with an extension with System Administration right enable(User >> Rights section at the bottom) and at least "Group Administrator" role configured.

Then go to Web Client >> Admin >> Users >> Select a user >> IP phone section >> Configure a phone >> Select Outside of Office and you will have the option to configure a router phone.

The rest of the steps can be found here: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-t5-series/#:~:text=Select "Router Phone".

For those wondering, you need to login to the webclient (not the regular management console) then go to admin -> users -> select the user -> IP phone.
Here you will see the phone that is already provisioned. You need to copy the MAC address, then delete the phone and add it again. At this point it will offer you to make it a routerphone.

Thanks @JohnS_3CX
So it means we should DOWNGRADE?
Won't I loose features or reintroduce bugs that were corrected? It seems to work well with 96.86.100.5
