Could really use some patton fxs help!!

Ive got a Patton 4114 4 port fxs gateway working with my 3cx server running v11. All my fax Ext show registered just fine, and when I FAX out Ext 890 which is from a big Lexmark copier its works just fine (see logs below). However when I try faxing from another fax Ext using a smaller hp office jet all in one, it will fail. In the log it only shows the "9" even though I enter the same number exactly the same way I enter it from the big Lexmark copier on fax Ext 890. I'm hoping maybe someone has run across this and can help, I don't know why even though I'm entering 93175784155 when faxing from the hp, it doesn't take anything after the 9. I appreciate any help in advance. The main gateway is a sangoma a101de and works great, and as I said I can fax using the Lexmark on fax Ext 890 all day long no problem...

K, could be a couple of things.

2) check your model of officejet and see that it supports T.38

On the surface my guess is that the DTMF settiings may need to be checked in the Patton.

Turn the speaker volume up on both fax machines and listen for a difference in how they transmit. Perhaps the HP is so fast in its digit transmission that the Patton picks up the first, but cannot distinguish the rest. You may need to change and experiment with the settings to ensure that they are set for the US (or correct country) and then how negotiated between the fax and the Patton.

This is not a t.38 issues, but rather a how to get a call to be routed. I am assuming you use the 9 to route the fax call a particular way and then perhaps you strip it so that only the number of interest is fed to the Patton, but in your case with the HP, by the time it reaches the Patton........there is no number.

Have you tried plugging the HP fax onto the same ATA port that the Lexmark is working on?

If that works, then you know it is a configuration issue with the HP's ATA port. If it behaves the same way, then it is an issue with the HP Fax machine.

At first guess, I would suspect an internal ATA dialplan issue.
