Hi everyone,
In 3cx Basic Certification training module (
) at 14:41 the following is mentioned:
"You will be prompted to enter the default timezone that your deskphones are going to use. This will not affect the reports and the time scheduling automation as these use the system time"
At the same time, the Installer Screen displays the message "Select Country and Timezone. This is important for call reporting, Dialing rules, Phone configuration, invites and notifications"
I think the above statements contradict one another.
As a second question, the sentences that follow in the training video are not also quite clear to me:
"With the Linux edition the system time will also be set at an operating system level, making it a lot easier to manage the server time. With the Windows edition this will still need to be set manually"
So, how is setting the Timezone affecting/affected by the hosting server's time in Linux and Windows?
Thank you in advance.
